We operate 3 boats, a traditional 9.5m RIB a bigger Aluminium RIB and for all year running, and the odd bad weather day a fast and comfortable sheltered boat - all fast and fun allowing us to get you to where the nature is, in comfort and safety. (have a look at the 'Our Boats' Section for a full description, and photo's.

We run 3 different trips per day in the height of the season -  The whalespotting trip in the morning (3 hours) then an afternoon trip (2 hours) followed by a 1 hour trip in the RIBS from 4 - 5
1 hour trips aboard  'Odyssey' by demand - Just come down to the pier.

NEW FOR 2008

On Monday , Wednesday & Fridays
We are going to offer a first for all Nature enthusiasts - A whole day out, with the option of two different trips pending on the time of year. Depart at 10 am aboard our sheltered boat 'Odyssey' for a day of whalespotting around the Small Isles, with a stop off on the Island of Eigg tearoom  for lunch. Then on to the North side of the Island of Muck, gradually heading back to Armadale via the Sound of Rhum, Past vast seabird colonies, and the 'Singing Sands' - this will be unforgettable, and the wildlife second to none.
or
Our 'Lochs' day - Starting in Loch Nevis, one of the most scenic lochs in Britain, aiming for the narrows at Tarbet - stopping off for lunch at 'The Old Forge' (Britains remotest pub) then out through the islands to Loch Hourn, passing cliffs, 4 Munro's and into Sandaig Bay (Gavin Maxwells ' Camusfearna ') over to Isle Ornsay lighthouse and back to Armadale for approx 4.30.

'Odyssey' is fully heated and equipped - with an onboard flushing toilet, lots of outside space, and hot & cold drinks supplied.
Please contact us for this trip, it is exclusive, and unlike others you will spend the day afloat, rather than under your own steam.

2 Hour Trip

This trip is our favourite for all ages - just the right time length and great fun for all.
A typical trip is to leave our departure point at Armadale Pier, and head down to the most southern tip of Skye, offering fantastic views across the Small isles and unique views of the Cuillin mountains, here we will explore the shoreline for Seals and Seabirds, and keep an eye out for Whales. We then return back to Armadale taking a deep water route, down the Sound of Sleat - in season we regularly see Minke whales on this trip, along with Porpoise, the odd group of Dolphin, and anything else that may 'Pop Up'

Departures Times - Early season - 12 - 2. Then 10-12 / 1.30 - 3.30 / 4 - 6

3 Hour Whalespotting

A firm and popular, dedicated whalespotting trip - With an unrivalled 8 year track record. We cover a lot more ground on this trip, and with our years of knowledge and experience we know where to find our local Minke Whales - running every morning during the height of the season, as this is when our whales are most active, running regularly (Mon/Weds/Fri) before this. We may break this trip in two by stopping on the Island of Eigg for a leg stretch and coffee, or head into Loch Nevis and stop off at The Old Forge (Most remote Pub in Mainland Britain) for Coffee or any other 'refreshment' - You are on holiday remember ..... But sometimes there is far to much to see to stop off .............

We run this trip in the morning, as we have found it the most succesful time. 10 - 1

1 Hour

Mainly aboard our enclosed boat 'Odyssey' still fast and comfortable, but gives you the chance to get out to see the Seals, and Seabirds. A great trip if you do not have as much time to do the longer trips. (Or just waiting for the ferry!!) In past years we have even managed to show you a Minke Whale on this trip - as the other boats will have already been out on the water and know where everything is for the day, we will do our best for you. Otherwise there are our local Seals to see. Great for the younger and older who feel the 2 hours will be a wee bit to long. Sailings by demand and a min group size of 4. Bookable if you would like the boat to yourselves.

Otherwise time for this trip will be 4 - 5  aboard our open boats.

Your safety and enjoyment is our No 1 priority.

Lifejackets and waterproofs are supplied if you are heading out on one of the RIBS, and warm clothing is suggested if going on any of our trips.
Sensible footwear is a must - No stilleto's !!!!
Boarding the boats is by a set of steps on the pier - it is suggested that if you are concerned in any way about getting on the boats, that you come down to say hello before you book, and we will go over the boarding procedure with you.

All boats are fully coded and endorsed by The MCA and MECAL to the highest standard.
All are equiped with the most modern electronics, and even have their own separate liferafts.
Your Skipper, who is fully qualified and experienced,  will give you a brief, but complete safety talk before, or very shortly after you are settled on the boat.

If you suffer from and sort of medical condition eg Bad Back- Please tell us before you are on the boat, and we will offer you the most comfortable seat available.
